Care Days

When your Assisted Living Facility, Residential Home, or Senior Center sets up a Doorstep Dental Care Day, our team sets up a clinic at the facility, taking Xrays, providing exams, cleanings, cancer screenings and other oral health evaluations specific to the needs of seniors.

Older patients often have decay on many, if not all of their teeth. While this can be caused by neglect, or decreasing mobility, much of it is caused by increased medication use, which leads to dry mouth, and causes teeth to rot at 10-20 times the normal rate. Regular dental evaluations and continued care are needed to prevent serious dental infections. 

 

After the Care Day is finished, if the dentist recommends additional treatment, someone from the Doorstep Dental team will be in contact to explain the recommended procedures and schedule a follow up appointment.
